Monthly Horoscope Overview

Each month carries its own rhythm and mood shaped by the movement of the planets. In this overview I share how I read the month ahead by paying attention to the moments when energy shifts direction gathers strength or asks us to slow down.

By looking at sign changes lunar cycles retrogrades and key turning points we can work with the prevailing currents rather than push against them and move through the month with greater awareness ease and trust.

Ingresses

I begin by paying close attention to the astrological energy shifts unfolding this month. My first stop is always the moments when planets change signs. These ingresses matter because a planet behaves very differently depending on where it lands.

Think of it as a guest changing rooms at a party. Same guest, new mood, new rules and sometimes a much better view.

Lunations

Next I turn to the New and Full Moons along with any eclipses that appear. These lunar events set the emotional tone of the month. They stir feelings reveal truths and often mark turning points.

New Moons invite fresh intentions while Full Moons shine a light on what has ripened and what is ready to be released.

Retrogrades

I also track planetary retrogrades which tend to slow things down and invite a second look. Energy turns inward and old themes resurface asking for review rather than action.

This is less about pushing ahead and more about reflecting, recalibrating and learning from what has already been lived.

Special Focus

Finally I highlight a few key astrological moments that shape the month as a whole. These are the standout influences that colour our experiences and help explain the bigger emotional and energetic patterns at play.

The Sun Enters Aries

This day is the beginning of the astrological year. As the Sun enters Aries, it heralds the start of Spring in the northern hemisphere and the start of Autumn in the southern hemisphere. Potential is high and your life-force is robust now. Initiate independent activity to best serve yourself. Choose to get out and about in the sunshine daily.

Qualities

The Moon is feminine, passive, reflective, and moody. The Moon represents your mother, cooks, and caregivers. The Moon rules Cancer.

Lunar Eclipse in Virgo

This month’s Lunar Eclipse at 12°54′ Virgo highlights your need for practical awareness. It brings mindfulness to daily routines, health and the practical details of life which need refining. Emotions may run high as you see clearly what no longer serves you. This is a time to simplify, heal and restore your inner clarity.

New Moon

This month, New Moon is in sensitive Pisces at 28°27′. This indicates it is time to begin an activity where you sacrifice something else in your life. Consider starting a meditation regime or a daily yoga practice now.

Mercury

Qualities

Mercury communicates, trades and is factual. Mercury represents agents, salespeople, youths and teachers. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo.

Mercury in Pisces

Messages can be confusing so be as clear as possible as Mercury remains in Pisces. Misunderstanding may plague your days. Avoid making pronunciations that are wide reaching. You do not have all the facts clear yet. Deals that seem certain may drift apart or collapse. A picture is worth a thousand words now.

Mercury stations direct

As Mercury stations direct the fog around communication begins to lift. Conversations start to flow more smoothly and it becomes easier to express what you really mean. Delays misunderstandings and crossed wires that may have felt frustrating recently can now be resolved with greater clarity and patience.

From here on ideas move forward more confidently. Plans that stalled can be revisited and decisions feel easier to make. This is a good time to gently follow up messages revisit discussions and trust that you will be heard more clearly. With Mercury moving ahead again communication supports your wellbeing by reducing mental strain and restoring a sense of ease and forward momentum.

Venus

Qualities

Venus is feminine. Venus loves, acquires, and appreciates. Venus represents young women, girlfriends, sweethearts, and accountants. Venus rules Taurus and Libra.

Venus enters Aries

Love and money affairs become somewhat subdued, as Venus is not well placed here, although a little rash. As Venus enters Aries it is the time to hold onto your investing and wait for next month when economic activities will improve in general. Romantically, you could be attracted to more dangerous types as the temptation for hot and lusty fling is genuine.

Venus enters Taurus

Loving Venus goes home to Taurus this month. Now is the moment to establish your financial future. Budgets and spending plans will be of benefit for you now. This is a suitable time to evaluate your life and the people with whom you invest your time and energy. Make space to enjoy meaningful moments with your special loved ones in this period.

Mars

Qualities

Mars is masculine. Mars competes, challenges and acts. Mars represents young men, boyfriends, bad boys, pioneers, firemen and soldiers. Mars rules Aries and Scorpio.

Mars enters Pisces

As Mars enters Pisces is loses some of its fiery nature. Direct your energy inwards and towards the core of you. Be sensitive to others around you. If you need to rant and rave, do it somewhere where no one can see. Your actions will affect bystanders just as much. Make sure you are emitting positive energy into the world. Karmic themes are all around now.

Jupiter

Qualities

Jupiter knows, grows and wins. Jupiter represents uncles, professors, know-it-all’s, clerics and philosophers. Jupiter rules both Sagittarius and Pisces.

Jupiter in Cancer

With Jupiter in Cancer (until June 2026) opportunities for nurturing and emotional security begin to grow. This is a gentle and supportive influence that encourages care connection and a deeper sense of belonging. You may find that situations arise which help you feel safer more supported or more at home within yourself and with others.

Cancer is the sign of Jupiter’s exaltation, which means that it is pretty well-placed within this sign. The gifts and joys of Jupiter are likely to come forward now as well.

Growth under this transit comes through kindness and emotional honesty. By tending to your own needs and offering care to those you love you create space for trust and stability to flourish. Chiron in Aquarius. Chiron remains in Aries at around 25°.

Qualities

These horoscopes are written for Ascendant signs. If you know your Ascendant sign then read that horoscope. Otherwise, read your Sun sign, and while you’re at it, think about getting your chart cast so you will know your Ascendant sign for the future.

About My Horoscopes

These horoscopes consider the changing planetary energies throughout each month.

In general, I look at three things:

Ingresses
Lunations
Stations

If there are other important events happening during a month, I may write about them as well, it just depends.

Horoscope Themes

I like to look on the positive side and find something uplifting to say for each sign. When I prepare my horoscopes, I consider planetary movements, planetary energies and shifts that occur in the natural rhythms.

I also like to pay attention to New Moons and Full Moons when they impact a particular sign significantly.

I do consider planets stationing retrograde or turning direct as these movement shifts do make a difference in the way the planet can express its energy especially if they impact the sign as well.

Time Zone

Starzology horoscopes are set for Universal Time Zone (UT) which is the old Greenwich Mean Time. (GMT).

You Live in the Eastern Hemsiphere

If you live in the eastern hemisphere, like some of Europe, Asia, Australia and most of Africa, these dates may occur the day after the ones mentioned.

You Live in the Western Hemsiphere

If you live in the western hemisphere, likeIceland, the USA, Canada and South America, these dates may occur the day before the ones mentioned.

What I Look For Each Month

As the planets move through the zodiac, they change signs and adjust their direction. Each planet has a couple of particular signs that they really love to be in and with which they resonate well. These shifts of planetary energy are what I look at.

Ingresses

My creating my Starzology horoscopes I consider the planets changing signs or ingressing. Several planets change signs each month and this can vary. When a planet goes from one sign into the next it may benefit or have its energy reduced. How well a planet is placed in a sign is known as essential dignity.

Lunations

I look at the New Moon and the Full Moon otherwise known as the lunations.

Eclipses

I always consider any Solar or Lunar Eclipses when they occur which is not every month. Eclipses only happen during a couple of months each year.

Stations

Retrograde Periods

I give much consideration to any planet which stations in a month. A station is when a planet appears to stop and change direction. Stations happen at the start and end of a planet’s retrograde period.

Stations Retrograde and Direct

Planets can either station retrograde (begin to move backwards) or station direct (begin to move forwards). It depends on the planet and your own birth chart whether a planetary station may heavily affect you or not so much.

March 2nd: Mars

As Mars moves into your seventh house the focus turns to serious partnerships and commitment. This is a time when relationships feel more active and more honest. You may notice a stronger desire to define where you stand with someone or to address issues that have been sitting quietly in the background. The good news is that you are likely to receive an influx of cash and goodwill as the financial planet Venus enters your money area where it is very comfortable. Venus is likely to bring benefits to you like gifts of time and or money.

The trick here is to be gracious and accept them and not to assume that you are due any income or monies that you were provided as a gift. This shift of energy is promising for your increased wealth. You will probably feel better about yourself as your income is boosted as well. This month there will be a little extra cash if you feel the urge to splurge, but only a little mind.

Your energy levels will slow a little as Mars enters your personal reflection area. You will benefit now from spending some time alone and attending to your inner life. This is the perfect time to take a solo hike in the woods or along a sandy beach. Enjoy some peaceful days now.

Venus enters your personality and wellbeing area. This should boost your outlook and bring pleasant interaction with the people you meet face-to-face. You will be more social than usual. March 19th: New Moon

With the New Moon in your private sector, a unique opportunity for a fresh approach to darker emotions emerges. The New Moon signifies new beginnings, and in your private sector, it invites you to address and work through any deeper emotions or inner struggles you might be experiencing.

Because the Moon moves quickly, this influence is brief. It is ideal for reviewing your budget, paying attention to cash flow and noticing emotional patterns around earning and spending. By staying aware, you can make choices that support both your financial wellbeing and your sense of self-worth.

Scorpio Vision

Jupiter

When Jupiter moves through your 9th house, life starts to feel bigger and more meaningful. This is the part of your chart linked to vision, belief and the direction you are heading over the long term. March 19th: New Moon

In the third week you get a cosmic boost to your love life which peaks at the New Moon on the 21st. If you are single, plan any first dates for after the New Moon. If you are already in a serious relationship, organize a date night after the New Moon for the best effect.

Your love life is likely to take an upswing at the New Moon. All New Moons are opportunities for new beginnings for you. With this fresh energy occurring in your romance on dating sector, there is the possibility that you will come across someone who sparks an interest in you romantically. At the very least, you can expect some lightweight flirtations around this time.

March 20th: Mercury

During the middle of the month, Mercury concludes its retrograde period in your romance sector. It’s an ideal time to engage in meaningful and extended conversations with your partners, delving deep into your emotional connection. Address any past confusions or misunderstandings that might have arisen over the past few weeks, ensuring that you both resolve them to move forward harmoniously.

March 30th Venus

March 3rd: Lunar Eclipse at 12°54’Virgo

A lunar eclipse in your twelfth house draws attention to your private inner world. This is a quiet turning point that encourages retreat rest and honest self-reflection.

Some emotions may surface from the background asking to be felt rather than analyzed. You might crave solitude more than usual and that is a wise instinct now.

This eclipse supports gentle practices that help you slow down and listen. Journaling meditation prayer long walks or simply doing less all help clear emotional clutter.

Think of this as spiritual housekeeping rather than soul searching drama. By giving yourself space to pause and reflect you restore inner balance and prepare for a lighter more intentional chapter ahead.

The love planet Venus stimulates you urge to partner up with someone. If you are single, you are likely to be invited on a date. If you are in a committed relationship there will be sweet moments between you.
