Lifetime Age Transits
Lifetime Age Transits
Every Life
Now that you have learned a little about transits in general you should know that there are some transits which are special for several reasons.
The birth chart is a snapshot of the planetary positions at birth.
Forward Motion
The chart stays the same for you for your lifetime and indeed beyond.
From the natal chart placements all the planets continue to move forward, or retrograde, after the birth.
Jupiter
As the planets move at a general speed, we can say that for instance Jupiter will move thirty degrees in one year and will return to its natal position in twelve years.
So, everyone gets their first Jupiter return at around age twelve.
Saturn
We know that Saturn takes thirty years to completely orbit the zodiac.
At around age seven years it will be at the waxing square.
We can say Saturn will take fourteen to fifteen years to make an opposition to its natal position.
At around age twenty-one years it will be at the waning square.
Same Transit Sequence
During everyone’s life there is a sequence of transits formed by the outer planets.
This transit pattern is the same for everyone and is often referred to as Lifetime Age Transits.
How these transits will affect everyone depends on the condition of each planet in their birth chart.
Table
What Age?
In the table below the “age” will be flexible and may change slightly depending on the direction and speed that the outer planet has in your natal chart.
Speed Transits Occur
Fast Examples
If a planet is direct and fast in your natal chart it can quickly move off its natal position and form aspects soon.
If Pluto is in Libra it will rush through the following signs and form transits back to its natal position faster than normal.
Slow Examples
If your natal planet is about to start its retrograde cycle, then the lifetime aspects can be delayed sometimes for years.
If Pluto is in Gemini, Cancer or Leo it will be slower through the following signs and form transits back to its natal position slower than normal.

Transiting Outer Planet’s Relationships
The Synodic Cycles of the Outer Planets
When the outer planets form aspects with each other these aspects may be within orb for years at a time.
They create a generation effect and millions of charts will have particular combinations of planets.
A synodic cycle starts at the conjunction between two planets.
The most common synodic cycle is the New Moon at the start of the Moon and Sun cycle.
Uranus Conjunct Neptune
This conjunction was recently in Capricorn during the 1988 – 1993.
These young people are now reaching adulthood and appearing in astrologer’s consulting rooms for the first time.
It can be a challenge to fully understand how this conjunction works in each chart.
Pluto Sextile Neptune
This aspect was in orb for years during the last century because Pluto was fast in Scorpio.
It has been on and off for over 100 years so far.
This aspect is still in orb today because Pluto has been fast through Scorpio and could keep up with Neptune.
This means millions of people have this conjunction in their birth charts.
The Neptune sextile Pluto ongoing transit’s effect on individuals depends on where it is placed in the natal chart.
Superior Planet Aspects
Superior Planet Definition
The superior planets are all the planets whose orbits is further out from the Sun than the Earth’s orbit is.
They take more than a year to complete one orbit of the Sun.
In this article I’m discounting Mars and starting at Jupiter.
Great Conjunctions
A Great Conjunction occurs between Jupiter and Saturn as the last of the visible planets.
The last great conjunction was at 0° Aquarius in 2020.
Great Conjunctions usually occur every 18-20 years apart.
Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune: Stellium 2010
There was a stellium between Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune which occurred in Aquarius during 2010.
This stellium contains themes suggesting forgiveness and growth through religious tolerance.
As these people, those with it in their birth charts, grow up, they will bring their charts to life and express this conjunction’s energy for all to see.
Uranus Square Pluto
This cardinal square was on-going from 2012 – 2015.
This particular square has been important for global affairs.
It is more critical for those people who have the Uranus Pluto conjunction in their natal chart, as this is the seed moment of their synodic cycle.
Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto: Stellium 2020
The most recent cardinal stellium with Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto was in 2020 at 22°/25° Capricorn.
It occurred at the same place as the Uranus Neptune conjunction in the 1980/90’s and may pose challenges for those born at that time.
