Spring 2021 Ingress Chart

Spring 2021 Ingress Chart

by Alison Price

The Spring 2021 solar ingress chart covers one quarter of the year. Let’s have a closer look at this chart’s potentials.

Ingress Charts

Solar ingress charts are typically set on the Zero Aries house system as they can be read anywhere in the world, so the Sun will be on the left in the zero position of Aries the ram, and in this case, you can ignore the houses. Set this chart for your location to have a closer look at the chart’s potentials for your area.

An ingress chart in Aries may show the situation for the next year because it occurs at the absolute start of the zodiac, but they are typically used to illuminate the future of one quarter of the year at a time.

In this case, the time period is from when the Sun enters Aries on March 19th/20th to when it again enters another cardinal sign (Cancer) around June 21st/22nd. This provides us with a good portion of time to work with, three months, one quarter of the year or around 90 days. Enough time to launch projects and set affirmations.

It always depends where you are in the world. The spring equinox in the northern hemisphere occurs at the same time as the autumn equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.

Balances Overview

In this chart there are strong influence of:

  • The positive polarity indicating there will be positive vibes and upliftment in general.
  • The mutable mode suggests a certain flexibility between people, and you will be inclined to make allowances for others easier than normal.
  • The air element which hints at you thinking a little longer about the ideas behind what is going on rather than rushing into action.

Planetary Overview

On a planetary level, this ingress chart features:

General Focus

The Sun in Aries suggests you will have more drive and be eager to get things done, although there may be some pushing and shoving.

The Sun is very well placed in its sign of exaltation as it can burn at a high temperature and create initiatives for those who are open to them.

The Sun is conjoined Venus in Pisces (her sign of exaltation) indicating that women may benefit more in this quarter.

The Sun sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, attracting the urge for everyone to go deeper and tap into our hidden talents.

Mercury squares Mars to drive energy into expressing yourself, but you could be overbearing and ostracize others through your strong opinions. This works both ways so you could be at the receiving end of some forceful energy so be prepared to stand your ground.

Love

Venus conjoins Neptune to add some misunderstandings in love affairs. If you are single, you need to be crystal clear about whether you love someone or not, or your prince or princess may simply slip through your fingers.

If you are in a meaningful relationship already, you can anticipate that the blending of Venus and Neptune will bring some confusion in matters of love and romance. You are likely to miss subtle cues from your partner that may be important later. They may tell you something important that you ignore only to realize the implications of after Venus has moved away from the close connection it has with Venus in this chart. Pay attention to all messages from your partner that you hear around the equinox as they will set the tone for the next three months in your relationship.

Mood

The Moon conjoined Mars in Gemini suggests quick change reactions. You could go from happy to sad to annoyed in a moment. If you are a naturally demonstrative person, it may be necessary to pause and take a breath before your emotions become whirlwind.

The Moon trine both of the social planets, Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, brings the urge to tap into your feelings, both happy and sad, and the urge to experience a rich life.

The Moon squares Neptune which intimates that you are likely to ignore extremes of emotions, and in doing so, you might miss the bigger picture that is unfolding right under your nose.

Money

Venus sextiles Pluto which joins the two money planets in a positive, if not lucrative, way.

There may not be excesses of cash available this quarter, but this moderate aspect connection suggests there will be enough. However, just what is enough will be subjective for each person.

On a global scale, the markets are likely to rally and maintain their strength and buoyancy this quarter.

After the equinox, choose investments that you are already in and add to those rather than branching out into new positions.

Interest rates will likely hold steady if not creep up slightly.

If you are completing your tax returns during this period, send them off at around 8:00am to 10:00am to avoid any unwanted investigations from the tax department.

Question

In which house of your birth chart does this equinox fall?

Pluto Transits Through the Houses

Pluto Transits Through the Houses

by Alison Price

Pluto Transits Through the Houses – for Forecasting Astrologers

Introduction

In this post I’m going to share with you, key energy shifts that you can anticipate when Pluto transits the houses of your chart.

When your start with transits you typically begin from the outer planets inwards towards the Sun.

The first planet that you will study will be Pluto.

Pluto takes a long time to pass through each sign.

It can take years to transit the houses of your chart.

Pluto’s Time in Each Sign

Taking into account that Pluto will retrograde over signs boundaries I am only looking at the first time Pluto enters a new sign in all cases.

This will give an average time for the planet to be in each sign, although yes, it will retrograde at the beginning of the ingress and go back to the previous sign for a while and at the end of a sign it will move into the new signa finally to retrograde back for a while into the old sign.

But all things being equal, that is why I’m taking the first ingress of Pluto into each sign that has occurred relatively recently.

Pluto Through the Signs

Pluto was in Leo from 1939 to 1956 when it first entered Virgo. Pluto took 17 years to cover 30 degrees.

Pluto was in Virgo from 1956 to 1971 when it entered Libra. Pluto was 15 years in Virgo.

Pluto was in Libra from 1971 to 1983 when it entered Scorpio. Pluto was 14 years in Libra.

Pluto was in Scorpio from 1983 to 1995 when it entered Sagittarius. Pluto was 12 years in Scorpio.

Pluto was in Sagittarius from 1995 to 2008 when it went into Capricorn. Pluto was 13 years in Sagittarius.

Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008 and will remain there until 2023 when it will go into Aquarius. Pluto will be 15 years in Capricorn.

Perihelion and Aphelion of Pluto

Perihelion is the closest a planet gets to the Sun and for Pluto, perihelion was actually within Neptune’s orbit on September 5th, 1989 at 13 degrees Scorpio.

Pluto’s aphelion when it is the farthest away from the Sun, the last time was over one hundred years ago in 1867 in Taurus.

Pluto was in Taurus from 1852 to 1882 which means that Pluto spent 30 years in Taurus.

Kepler’s Second Law

Kepler’s 2nd law of planetary motion states that, “Planets sweep out equal areas in equal time.”

This means that when a planet is closer to the Sun, at perihelion, it moves faster, as Pluto did through Scorpio. W

hen a planet is further from the Sun, at aphelion, it moves slower as Pluto did when it transited Taurus.

Pluto transited Scorpio in a brief twelve years but took thirty years to transit Taurus.

Having said all that let’s have a look at some key phrases that you can anticipate when Pluto transits the houses of your natal chart.

To find which house Pluto is transiting for you, find 25 degrees of Capricorn and decide which house that is for you. It will be different for everyone.

For myself Pluto is transiting my sixth house at the moment (January 2021).

Initial House Ingress

The most important part of transiting Pluto, or any planet for that matter, is the time it first enters a new house.

That event will bring a period of usually one whole year when the changes relating to the new house are the most felt by the person whose chart it is.

By the time Pluto has been in a house for five to ten yeasr you do get used to the energy.

When in a particular house, if Pluto then conjoins a planet in your house it will it trigger more responses in you.

And when transiting Pluto makes general aspects to the planets in your chart, but that is the topic for another time.

September 2018 Horoscopes

September 2018 Horoscopes

We are delighted to welcome this month’s guest writer Alfred DePew from Evolutionary Astrology and Dreamwork who has written our September 2018 Horoscopes for you. Alison ⭐️

“My aim is to help people listen more deeply to their souls, and to see the practical application of their new insights and awareness.”

Alfred DePew

ARIES

Your focus for most of this month is on daily routines, your health, and a renewed commitment to your career or the needs of a parent. Around the 10th your love life beckons and what has been out of sight and out of mind now needs your attention. By the 13th you may find yourself leading an initiative that brings a much-needed change to your community or brings new ideas or energy to your circle of friends. By month’s end, a business partnership, contractual agreement or your sweetheart will want more of your attention.

TAURUS

There’s nothing frivolous or indulgent about your need for creative self-expression, recreation or romance this month. It serves a purpose perhaps only you can know. Something in you is called to begin a new course of study, set out on a journey or embark upon a quest. Your relationships may take on a new intensity after the 10th and you might find yourself starting an innovative project at work that has far-reaching benefits for everyone involved. Check in with your health routines towards the end of the month.

GEMINI

You’re going to want to get your house in order this month. Shared resources may demand closer scrutiny if they are to bear fruit in the future, and you may need to get to the bottom of what is not being clearly communicated. There will be a renewed focus on health towards the middle of the month, and you may find yourself called to get to the broader philosophical truth of a matter that seemed quite mundane. At month’s end, tune into possibilities for new romance.

CANCER

Whatever is on your mind this month, you’re going to want to let people know about it. You are likely to feel a renewed commitment to your partnerships, both domestic and professional. Make way for romance after the 10th and don’t be surprised if you are feeling the need to initiate some sort of deep inward transformation around the same time. The end of the month sees you focusing on domestic harmony and beautifying your home.

LEO

This month, your attention will be on your resources—money as well as the gifts you were born with. You’re going to want to produce some serious results at work or double down on your exercise routine. Eliminate clutter at home and make room for transformation of your physical and psychic space. Mid-month is a good time to set boundaries in existing business or personal relationships. Near the end of the month, your attention turns toward beauty and balance. You may be asked to mend fences or help siblings reach a fair and equitable agreement.

VIRGO

This is a month to re-assess who you are and how you are operating in the world. Your makeover may well involve spending more time with your children, a romance, or a creative venture. All the same, you might be more reticent than usual in order to dive deeper for more insight into a problem you’ve been trying to solve. Keep long-range results in mind as you start a new exercise program or project at work. Review your budget at the end of the month. And don’t hesitate to confront something head-on, which you may have been avoiding.

LIBRA

September finds you turning inward to reflect. Which is just as well because you’ll be sensing a renewed pull towards home and family. What do you care about most deeply? Where are you spending your time, energy, and money? Mid-month may find you embarking on a new creative project or romance that has broad implications and may spark long-range changes. Towards the end of the month, check in with who you know yourself to be—and where you need to make adjustments. You’re likely to discover something new about your way of being in partnership.

SCORPIO

You’re feeling more inclined than usual to socialize. Go for it. This might be the month for some new clothes that are more in line with how you feel about yourself. Your siblings or neighbours may turn to you for advice. Your home may call out to be modernized or updated. Towards the end of the month, a work situation or health issue that seemed murky will likely clear up, and you’ll be able to see the way forward.

SAGITTARIUS

Keep your focus on a new project or a fresh start in your career in September. Don’t be afraid to commit to what you know to be true. Far from holding you back, your sense of responsibility is a resource. Towards midmonth, you may want to spend some time alone in order to incubate new ideas that are sure to get people around you out of the rut they’re in. Harmony and idealism are the themes for you at month’s end. Expect new information and insights about a romance or creative project around that time as well.

CAPRICORN

You’re feeling like your old self again, and it shows this month. Whether it’s a new course of study, a new life path, or a literal voyage, you’re going to want to let people know about it. The emphasis is on connection, and it may be intense, even passionate. So keep your eye out for a new love interest. Take a look at your spending around the 12th. Be more decisive about what you own or value. At month’s end, you may find that this social whirlwind has actually paid off in terms of your career or reputation.

AQUARIUS

This month, your attention is on getting your house in order when it comes to your taxes, shared investments, or an inheritance. Giving yourself some time alone for reflection will enhance a new initiative around the 12th that is likely to have a long-range healing influence for you and your community. Come the end of the month, you may well find yourself embarked upon a new course of study or a quest for meaning, beauty, and harmony. Expect some new insights when it comes to your neighbours or siblings.

PISCES

September finds you focusing on partnerships. Expect some depth, intensity and new insights about how you relate to others. Self-reflection will facilitate a new beginning around the 10th. As inward as this time may feel, you won’t want to forget your commitment to friends or community groups. Toward the end of the month, you’re likely to see what’s been hidden from view, which will help you restore the balance in your love life or in situations that have to do with shared resources.
