There is not one method for financial freedom that works for everyone. Some people benefit from going cold turkey and cutting up their credit cards but that only works for a few. Others like to put in more hours at a paying job, and some will create some passive income that supplements their household kitty. These are just a few examples of how to manage money. But will they work for you?

On the internet there is mountains of information everywhere and you are knee-deep in financial advice tips and get-rich-quick schemes. Everyone you speak to has a system or method to manage their budget. Their method may work for them but it won’t necessarily work for you.

What if you could see the pattern of your money management through the eyes of astrology? What if you could really get to grips with what works for you and what aligns with your core beliefs as shown in your birth chart? What if you didn’t have to listen to your mother-in-law telling you where you are gong wrong?

It will show you how a little astrological knowledge can make your life better. It shows you how to work with the planets for your financial benefit. You may know your Sun sign and know that you are a Virgo or a Capricorn but you can look deeper into your basic chart and discover the other planets that have so much to say about your financial life. You will learn that each sign has four money planets that influence your financial life and have a lot to say about how you manage your money. This article has tips on income, earning, investing, spending, what to buy, what to sell, where to earn and how to save.

Money

The markets may go up and down but we are living in the here and now and need to make good financial choices in our everyday life. I’m going to share with you how best each sign approaches money management in general through their money planets. Many people work for others and are in jobs they hate but they keep them because they have to pay the rent and put food on the table. These are basic requirements for everyone. We all need a home and food and succor.

Satisfaction

All people have a small spark inside them that wants to live a more fulfilling life and to be satisfied by the activities and people you know and meet in your life. This spark can be an ember and remain so never quite reaching its full potential or with some fanning it can grow into a full-blown fiery ball of heat, warmth and light.

When you satisfy your creativity by doing things in line with what is indicated in your chart your life will be better and you will be satisfied with your life. If you can find this small spark and bring it to life through caring and doing activities that make it grow your can have a bright light and a warm fire burning that sustains you through the dark days of the work-eat-sleep-repeat grind that so many of us live.

It is my goal to inspire you to do more and do more exciting and creative things that make you feel happy. Much personal satisfaction is found through a comfortable financial life.

Having enough

If you have a plan or a vision for your life you have a better chance of realizing it. Make sure you lift your eyes to the horizon and don’t spend another year with your nose to the grindstone or sitting at a desk staring at a blank wall.

You can raise your sights from the mundane and imagine taking other paths and journeys. You will find that what you have is enough.

Wealth building

Each sign has a different approach to wealth building and you can focus on tuning yourself up whether it is mental, physical or emotional financial freedom that you seek. It is always better to work with the stars than against them. The reduction of debt, being paid what you are worth and spending mindfully are three basics to financial freedom. On top of that to have some mad money at the end of the month is a pleasure. Who doesn’t want to buy their kids toys, bikes and trendy clothes and give tem some cash to blow? This all comes from your mad money. But the catch is that you can only do this if you have got your money under control and live in your truth.

Ruling Planets

Every sign has a ruling planet. Some planets rule two signs. The Sun rules Leo. The Moon rules Cancer. Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo. Venus rules Taurus and Libra. Mars rules Aries. Jupiter rules Sagittarius. Saturn rules Capricorn. Uranus rules Aquarius. Neptune rules Pisces. Pluto rules Scorpio. These planets are known as the sign rulers. So, if you are a Capricorn then Saturn is your sign ruler. Just about everyone knows this.

But wait, there’s more.

Each sign has three or four planets that rule the financial life of the sign. So, again, if you are a Capricorn you will have Saturn as your sign ruler but you will also have more planets that have a say over you financial life and these planets can be understood in the way they relate to your income and spending habits.

Each sign has one sign ruler and three or four money rulers. The sign ruler is the main planet and in charge and the money planets are like sub-rulers as they only have a say over a small part of your life your money life. And let’s face it this is a huge part of life for most people. Your money planets are fixed by your birth chart so they stay the same for your lifetime. But these actual planets keep moving in the sky and that is part of the story. As the planets change signs and direction they gain or lose their ability to work well for you if they are one of your money planets.

How planets move

For example, if Mercury is retrograde now and it is not one of your personal money planets then that’s ok it won’t affect you and your money this year. But, if Mercury is one of your money planets then it’s retrograde period will change Mercury’s ability to support your financial life depending on which area of your finances Mercury rules and which one of your money planets is Mercury.

Planets in signs will blossom or wilt

In another example, if today Venus is in a sign that it blossoms so either Taurus, Libra or Pisces it will be a bonus time for you if Venus is one of your financial planets. If Venus is not one of your financial planets then it doesn’t matter. If Venus is in a sign where it wilts so either Aries, Scorpio or Virgo, it will be a challenging financial time for you if Venus is one of your money planets. If Venus is not one of your financial planets then it doesn’t matter. The way your money planets move and connect with the other planets shows the ebb and flow of your economic makeup. A little knowledge of astrology and planetary movements can help your navigate the world of money so much easier than before.

Blossom and wilt signs for each planet

• The Sun blossoms in Leo or Aries and wilts in Libra and Aquarius.
• The Moon blossoms in Cancer or Taurus and wilts in Capricorn and Scorpio.
• Mercury blossoms in Gemini or Virgo and wilts in Sagittarius and Pisces.
• Venus blossoms in Taurus, Libra or Pisces and wilts in Aries, Scorpio and Virgo.

Your Four Money Planets

In astrology you may be a Virgo and be ruled by Mercury in general, but within that there are different planets that rule various areas of your life. Your money planets cover one area in particular. Each sign has different money planets depending on where the money comes from or where it is going. Your four special money planets are; your income planet, your payback planet, your risk planet and your entrepreneur planet.

Financial levels of your life

These planets can be seen a levels of your financial life. They go deeper from the first one to the fourth one.

• Your income planet is always used. We all have and need money to pay the rent and buy food and this money comes from somewhere.
• Your payback planet can be managed over time. Most people will use and/or struggle with this planet and some will even master it.
• Your risk planet may or may not be stimulated. It is clear that only some people will use this planet. Each person’s appetite to take a chance with money will be shown by their risk planet.
• Your entrepreneurial planet may never be used but for those of you who do feel the urge to go it alone and start a business this planet is waiting for you in the wings.

You do not have to use all your money planets and most people only work with the first two of basic earning and owing or money in and money out. You may have the same planet for two of your money planets and this is fine as it reinforces that particular planet in your financial life. In this case you can pay special attention to any money plane that covers two areas. These money planets are associated with the four broad types of income and expenditure that you can experience. In total they express your full financial life and the urges and fears that you may experience surrounding money.

Income Planet

Your income planet covers the usual form of income for most people which is a job. It shows the nature of your earnings from regular work whether part-time or full time and for which you are paid regularly. You can have more than one job at a time. All regular and aboveboard income, including bonuses, tips and gratuities earned at work, will come through your main income planet.

This planet shows what you spend your money on and what you invest in. It suggests how you look after money, is your cash neatly tucked into your wallet all the notes facing upright or are they scrunched up and scattered on the bedside table with screwed-up banknotes and random coins on the floor. For example, do you accept or reject torn and dirty currency, and do you respect your money?

Your income planet suggests your credit rating and FICO score. It indicates the credit you can raise and how much you can potentially borrow. It does not show the money owed only the potential funds you can raise because people and banks feel comfortable lending to you and wish to invest in you. It shows pledges you can raise on site like Kickstarter and the like. This planet indicates any collateral you have available to finance more money. It indicates your wealth potential. Your income planet shows your net worth when it is positive.

Payback Planet

Your debts and money that you owe to others like your credit cards, mortgages, student loans, line of credit or that $50 you borrowed from your brother last night is shown by your payback planet.

Your payback planet covers all scholarships and bursaries for education or housing received that you have to pay back. All of these expenditures are influenced under your payback planet.

Your payback planet covers all insurances for which you have been paid out. It rules all annuities being forwarded to you. Insurances and annuities were originally paid for by you, or someone else, but when you are paid out they come back to you as income. You never receive an insurance payout unless someone paid something up front.

Your payback planet indicates where you give contributions and donate to others. It shows where you spend money to buy influence over other people as in political donations.

It indicates your relationship with the tax man, tax audits and all monies you owe and receive from him. Again if you did not originally receive income from your day job, or received interest or win the lottery, you would not owe tax on said income.

If you live debt free and pay everything on time you have reached and successfully navigated the second money planet.

Your payback planet indicates any graft, bribes or backhanders that you accept. It shows income from illegal and under the table activities.

Your payback planet shows your net worth when it is negative.

Risk Planet

Your third money planet is your risk planet. This may not be used much if you do not like risk and is shown by the planet ruling risk in your chart.

Some people will never gamble, play the stock exchange, buy a lottery ticket or bet at the tote and therefore may never use their risk planet.

Any speculative income from stocks or bonds or other financial instruments on the stock exchange including futures, indices and foreign exchange trading comes under your risk planet.

This planet also rules your gambling and lottery wins and all casino and gaming wins or losses. It covers any gains in an office draw, sweepstake or competition you entered.

All games of chance and where you bet like horse racing, dog racing and sports bets come under the auspices of your risk planet.

Your nighttime online poker game is suggested by your risk planet.

Entrepreneur Planet

For most people your entrepreneur planet is the least used money planet. Many folks never use this planet and do not ever have their own business.

Your entrepreneur planet rules all income from a business that you started yourself. This includes any micro or small business you began alone of with partners. It shows income from any company that you own.

Example

For example, if you knit hats or make wooden bird houses and sell them at a flea market on a Saturday morning that income is shown by your entrepreneur planet.

It also indicates income from honors you have received like the cash from your Nobel Prize or grants or gifts from the government that do not need to be repaid.

Which Sign to Read

These financial interpretations have been written for your ascendant sign. If you only know your Sun sign then read that but if you do know your ascendant sign please read that one. You may be a Virgo Sun but have a Capricorn ascendant. In this case you will read Capricorn.

Know your sign

If the Sun was in Aries when you were born you are considered an Aries Sun sign. If the Sun was in Taurus you are a Taurus Sun sign etc. The ascendant is the sign that was on the eastern horizon at the moment you drew your first breath. If Gemini was on the eastern horizon at your birth then you have a Gemini ascendant.

Cusp days

The Sun changes signs at anytime in the day it does not alter signs at midnight. If your birthday is on a day when the Sun does change signs this is know as a cusp day. You may affectionately be called, “a cusp baby.” You cannot be two signs at once. You may think you are both Aries and Taurus because you were born on a cusp day but you cannot be two signs, you are one or the other.

Aries

Aries people are courageous and self-assertive. You relish new beginnings and are enthusiastic and can be impulsive. Often impatient and headstrong you want to be first. Aries folk look good in the color red. You can be acute, sharp and are a dynamic leader. You are inspirational and can get heated, excited and may be considered an army-of-one.

Your income planet is Venus

The beautiful planet Venus rules your financial life including your earning potential and this suggests that most Rams can earn good money. You are likely to spend on beautiful things and invest in quality. If you are a woman you will spend on yourself and if you are a guy you will spend on your lady. Venus here supports a fair income for a days work. If you work for others in a job all your life you will earn a decent income and this can be satisfactory.

Your payback planet is Pluto

Your attitude towards debt is that it is there to be used. If someone is willing to lend you money you are happy to borrow it. For you the markets will turn around June 21st and December 21st every year so always have a stable position then and the markets will hold around March 21st and September 21st each year.

Take a chance when the Sun is in Leo and hold when the Sun is in Aquarius. The solar eclipses every six months can be days of heightened financial energy either up or down so note these days every year.

Your entrepreneur planet is Uranus

To generate income for your own business as an independent person is a good idea as you have the unusual planet Uranus as your entrepreneur planet. This unique planet can help you create a business that has a social conscious and this can be one of your selling points. Any online business will be a good idea for you.

Taurus

Taurus people are generally patient. You can be possessive and keep things forever. You like land and what money can buy. You are good at preserving (both relationships and food) and are considered very reliable. Of all the signs you have the most common sense. If you are a bull you are deliberate in your actions and you are generally solid, earthy and a good worker.

Gemini

Gemini’s are instinctive communicators and want to make connections with others. You are good at associations and are happy just to know other people’s name. Twins are adaptable, restless and crave variety in life. You can have diverse interests. You are inquisitive and want to know things to fill your mental database with lots of information. You are the sign of duality and can multi-task like no other. Gemini makes good jugglers and fare well in pub quizzes.

As a Gemini your ruling planet Mercury and it is intricately woven into your life. Those with the Sun in Gemini (and Virgo) should pay special attention to the cycles of Mercury in the year and especially the retrogrades when Mercury’s energy is changed and takes on a different guise.

Your risk planet is Pluto

You have Pluto as your risk planet and this will curb gambling for the most part. If you do play roulette you will go all in and choose black or red. For you it is go in, win and get out and all within of five minutes. You do not linger where risk is concerned for you it is life or death. You may be a good advisor or sponsor for others wishing to curb their crippling debt levels and gambling issues.

You are likely to do well if you start a business. Venus is a good planet to have and it supports businesses of many types. You will be well-thought of in your business and people will want to do work with you because you can be charming, persuasive and sell.

Leo

The Sun is in Leo from July 23rd to August 23rd every year. Leo’s symbol is the Lion king of the jungle and this has much to say about Leo.

The key phrase for Leos is, “I create” and strong Leo types use this.

The Lion is of the fixed mode suggesting they don’t like change, in the element of fire indicating they are inspirational and of the active polarity meaning they are extroverted. The ruling planet is the Sun (yes, we know it is a star, but in astrology circles it is referred to as a planet).

Leos are dignified, have honor and are proud. They can be vain. They are the most creative sign and are fun loving. They are honest, warm and loyal. They are organized, strong and can be dramatic. They will delegate to the other signs. They take life on in a wholehearted manner. They have a childlike wonder of the world and detest poverty. Of all the signs they can play their role once they know what it is.

Mercury rules your financial life including your earning potential and this will stimulate your money area. The danger times for you are the three Mercury retrograde periods each year.

Of course you have to eat and have a roof, but curb any unnecessary spending during this time. An asset will feed you whereas a liability will eat you. Get educated and clear the fog. This is the classic placement for saying, “I can stop spending any time I want.”

Leos have the excessive planet Jupiter as their risk planet. This can mean you will risk all and often. You may be able to control yourself but the excitement of the casino may call. The lights and twinkle of these seductive places appeal to Leos. Always only take cash and never used credit cards to cover bets.

Your entrepreneur planet is Mercury

You are lucky to have Mercury as your entrepreneurial planet. This will allow you to have many little businesses all going at once.

This is the classic placement for multiple income streams. You can set up a variety of micro businesses to bring in ten to fifty dollars a month and happily augment your income through these methods.

Virgo

There are more Virgo births than any other sign. Those born under the sign of the virgin are the workers of the zodiac and are often placed in supporting roles. You do not like being put on the spot and will resist leadership when it is offered to you. It’s like a beehive with one queen bee – the Leo and many worker bees – the Virgos.

You pay your bills on time most times. You are only likely to raise a loan for the big things like a mortgage and a car. Not for you the endless credit cards and the store cards that build a merry-go-round of debt.

Your risk planet is Saturn

With conservative Saturn as your risk planet it will likely slow you down and you may never invest in the stock exchange or gamble. The best way to work with this planet is to thoroughly prepare yourself and be informed before you start. Play moderately and limit your exposure in the market.

Any business you start will grow in phases. You may start off slowly and then develop a reasonable income only to have it snatched away again. Over time you can build a business income but be aware that there will be times of feast and times of famine. Save in the good times because they will not last forever.

Libra

Libra loves equality especially in partnerships. You are persuasive and will encourage others to see your point of view. You are balanced and will compromise on occasion. You generally have good manners and are civil, polite and courteous. This is an elegant person with style.

You are brilliant negotiators and will step in to mediate and take on a peacekeeping role. You love companionship and enjoy being with one special person. The sign of the Scales rules balance, symmetry and things on the level. You can commit and are focused on your significant other’s needs.

As a Libran the planet Pluto rules your financial life including your earning potential. This makes it easy for Librans to pull money out of the hat and at the same time bring in a big win once or twice a year. With exciting Uranus as your risk planet you will always take a chance and enjoy betting. You could create a life income from radical trading on the stock exchange and enjoy quick returns. Forex will appeal and day trading can be a good place for you. Venture trading was made for you. Watch out for Uranus’ retrograde periods and especially the few days at the start and finish of Uranus’ retrograde period.

Scorpio

If you are a Scorpio you have two ruling planets the traditional planet of Mars the warrior and the modern planet of Pluto the transformer .

Scorpios are intense, passionate, survivors. You have self-control and are penetrating. You like to delve to the bottom of things. You are sexy, deep but also suspicious. You can be unforgiving. You fare well in a crisis. You are potent and can be jealous. Others think you are intimidating and if you are betrayed you will get revenge.

Jupiter rules your financial life including your earning potential and this is the planet of bounty. But the gifts are fleeting and need to be handled carefully, as only a Scorpio can, to make sure they last. Whatever you earn you will be discrete and you can keep it private which this is how it should be. Your financial situation is only your own business and not for general discussion. Through promotion at work you can reach an impressive income as those who matter see and support you.

Your payback planet is Mercury

With Mercury as your payback planet the best way to reduce your debt is to nibble away at it. This means paying what is due each month and then add some in-between payments. Keep paying in the odd $10 or $20 that you have around. In this way you pay more than what is owed but your don’t feel it because it is in small bits of cash. Make an effort to repay more money when Mercury is retrograde three times a year. So every four months you bring down your debt more.
