Sunsetting the Starzlife Paid Newsletter

Thursday Edition

After nearly a year, I’ve decided to sunset the Starzlife paid newsletter. This means the free Starzology newsletter will continue to go out every Sunday, but the exclusive Thursday edition for paid subscribers will be discontinued.

Challenges

Managing the monthly payment process has been more challenging and time-consuming than I anticipated. Issues with credit card expirations, CAD vs USD vs Euro currencies, payment processing, and other snafus have made it difficult for me to maintain it smoothly.

Future

Looking ahead, if I decide to reintroduce a paid newsletter, it will likely be offered as a one-time purchase. This would allow subscribers to receive premium content without the hassle of ongoing monthly payments. Instead, new subscribers would start receiving the emails from the point they join, making the process much simpler for everyone.
